Is the Nob Hill Inn in San Francisco Haunted?
According to local legends, more than 20 ghosts roam the halls of the Nob Hill Inn.
Many of them like to play pranks on the hotel’s guests. They move guests’ belongings, knocking on doors, and even locking bathroom doors on occasion.
Who are these ghosts, though? And why are they hanging out at the Nob Hill Inn?
Usually, there’s a reason why spiritual entities decide to stick around our plane of existence. That reason is rarely a pleasant one.
The locals believe the ghosts are the souls of people who died in the horrible earthquake that rocked San Francisco in 1906.
The beautiful manor that stood where Nob Hill Inn stands today completely collapsed during the earthquake.
While nobody died on the premises, the original owners decided to completely scrap the existing structure and build a new townhouse in its place.
Apparently, the spirits of the people who died around the house during the earthquake felt strangely attracted to the newly-renovated building and decided to make it their permanent home.
The frequent hauntings at the Nob Hill Inn could also have something to do with its antique-filled interior.
Objects often carry the remnants of spiritual energy. Then, do you know what that antique mirror in your room has seen in its past life?
If you want to find out if Nob Hill Inn is really haunted, we suggest booking a room to see for yourself.
However, don’t be surprised if you lose a sock or two in the process! We hear the ghosts of the Nob Hill Inn can be real pranksters.
